Allowing more accessory suites would increase Maple Ridge’s rental stock – Maple Ridge News
LETTER: Allowing more secondary suites would increase Maple Ridge’s rental stock
Prices would stabilize if more suites were available
Dear Editor,
It is obvious that the rents are so high. It’s a tenant market.
With the cost of homes so high, homeowners need the help that a secondary suite provides.
With more housing available and more supply, rents will naturally stabilize.
If the owners can provide two parking spaces on the property, that would leave only one vehicle on the street, if any.
Also, not everyone would have a vehicle or use the bus system.
Finally, there would be more sequels available but it would still be a small percentage so quite doable.
