CTM deploys a new technological suite

Corporate Travel Management (CTM) is rolling out a new suite of technologies, including a global approval tool available to customers in early 2022, an improved portal and profile tools.

Dubbed CTM Approve, the pre-trip approval system for global travel managers offers multi-layered control, according to the TMC. In the tool, CTM collects PNR data, executes it through a single approval instance, and sends approval notifications to employees selected by the customer. The system provides a single global view of all approvals throughout the CTM network, including the Americas, Europe, Asia and Australia / New Zealand.

Meanwhile, CTM’s new global profile system integrates HR flows for centralized customer access to all employee profiles in a single tool. It can also integrate with the online booking tool of choice for the customer, including TMC’s own Lightning OBT. It also works for both online and offline bookings.

With the global portal, travel managers can log in and use a single portal in all regions. Information on risk management is presented on an interactive map. The tool is available to customers using CTM’s wholly owned locations around the world for their travel needs.

According to CTM, every element of the new technology suite is powered by global data to ensure a comprehensive experience for travel managers responsible for travelers around the world. The suite captures PNR data from multiple sources to feed into CTM’s risk management systems, enabling global due diligence.

Mike Kubasik, Global Chief Technology Officer at CTM, said: “We know that having travel visibility in one place will be vital for our customers to meet due diligence requirements in a post-Covid environment. [The
technology suite] expands CTM’s global capabilities and customer solutions in response to this environment and, as international travel begins to increase, creates a targeted solution for travel managers who need the big picture.

Kubasik said the sequel is the work of TMC’s global and North American technology teams. “Our US technical team continues to focus on migrating travel and transportation customers to CTM technology, and our global technical team is focused on technology that meets the needs of our globally managed customers. “
