Each suite of this new Riviera Maya complex will have its own swimming pool

A new adults-only resort arrives in Riviera Maya, on Mexico’s Caribbean coast.

The new La Casa de Playa is the latest hotel complex from the Mexican group Grupo Xcaret, with plans to open on December 13.

The adults only resort will have just 63 suites, all of which have ocean views and all have their own private pools.

The complex, designed by architect David Quintana, was intended to be a “living sculpture”, according to the company.

“We are grateful for the massive acceptance of our new hotel project that joins our Hotel Xcaret Mexico and Hotel Xcaret Arte family and will continue to endorse our commitment to excellence and sustainable tourism,” said architect David Quintana, vice -President of Strategy and Development at Xcaret. “La Casa de la Playa is a tribute to the best of Mexico, the common thread that will continue to be the great love for our country.”

The hotel’s gastronomic offer will revolve around a “culinary collective”, which will include separate restaurants by famous chefs like Martha Ortiz and Virgilio Martinez, among others.

There will also be a spa called Muluk, a spa where “Mayan mysticism and contemporary Mexico merge into natural harmony to create ancestral treatments personalized with care, to generate healing and peace in a sensory experience”, Xcaret said.

This means 13 treatment cabins, two salt rooms, two mud rooms, and equipment such as hydrotherapy rituals to boot.
