Gabby Petito’s hotel in Utah, where she was last seen in public, was 2 blocks from FBI field office: report
Missing woman Gabby Petito was only two blocks from the Salt Lake City FBI office last month when she was last seen in public at a hotel near the airport, according to reports. .
Petito left the Fairfield Inn and Suites on August 24, shortly before his disappearance, FOX 13 from Salt Lake City reported. Her mother said she last saw her daughter on Facetime around the same time the 22-year-old and her fiance Brian Laundrie left for Grand Teton National Park in Wyoming.
Gabby Petito’s last Instagram post was on August 25.
FBI and local police investigators recently visited the hotel to ask questions, hotel staff reportedly said FOX 13. Petito stayed there for more than a night, staff said.

The couple embarked on a cross-country trip in Petito’s 2012 Ford Transit van in early summer. Both documented their trip on Instagram, stopping at several national parks in the West.
Florida police confirmed on Friday evening that they were also looking for Laundrie and Petito.
In North Port, Fla., Police went to Laundrie’s home where he lives with his parents on Friday, expecting to see him there but his family now say they haven’t seen him since Tuesday. and don’t know where he is, a North Port Police Department release said.
A lawyer for Petito’s family has claimed that Laundrie was probably “hiding” from law enforcement even though he was not charged with wrongdoing in Petito’s disappearance.
“Gabby’s whole family wants the world to know Brian hasn’t gone missing, he’s in hiding. Gabby is missing,” the attorney said in a statement.
Laundrie has been called a “person of interest” in the case and the release reiterated that he is currently not wanted for a felony.
“We understand the frustration of the community. We are also frustrated,” the statement said. “For six days, the North Port Police Department and the FBI begged the family to contact investigators regarding Brian’s fiancée, Gabby Petito.”
Friday was the first time the Laundrie family had spoken in detail with investigators, the statement said.
