Hyatt launches the Andaz brand in Mexico City

Hyatt is set to open its first Andaz hotel in Mexico City, and the second under the brand in the country.

The 213-room Andaz Condesa Mexico City will open later this year in the city’s La Condesa neighborhood, part of the I421 mixed-use complex. It will be 15 minutes from the Zocalo and the Centro Historico de Mexico.

The hotel will include 213 rooms and 20 suites, a fitness center, a spa, a rooftop swimming pool, four food outlets as well as meeting and event rooms.

Camilo Bolanos, Senior Vice President of Development and Real Estate, said:

“Andaz Condesa Mexico City will mark the entry of the Andaz brand into the influential and historic capital, and as demand for leisure travel continues to rise, we look forward to introducing a new luxury lifestyle offering to customers, members and clients of World of Hyatt.

“This project allows us to thoughtfully expand the Hyatt brand footprint in the region and create meaningful opportunities that meet the growing demand for luxury offerings in Mexico that appeal to upscale travelers and to the locals.”

Hyatt currently operates 25 Andaz hotels worldwide, including the Andaz Mayakoba in Cancun.

In Mexico City, Hyatt operates properties such as Hyatt Regency Mexico City and Hyatt House Mexico City/Santa Fe.

Hyatt is focused on growing its brands in Latin America and the Caribbean, having opened its first hotel under its Unbound Collection by Hyatt in Panama this year as well as a Hyatt Centric property in the capital of El Salvador.

Upcoming openings include Hyatt Zilara Riviera Maya and Hyatt Regency Mexico City Insurgentes in late 2022, Park Hyatt Los Cabos Hotel and Residences in spring 2023, Thompson Monterrey in summer 2023, and Park Hyatt Mexico City in 2024.
