Lender sues Pot Property Co. for libel over online criticism

By Sarah Jarvis (Jan. 20, 2021, 6:30 p.m. EST) – A New York-based commercial mortgage lender has sued a cannabis grow space developer for allegedly defaming the lender through online statements after the failure of a $ 6.5 million loan deal.

Global Capital Partners Fund LLC said in its lawsuit that Florida-based We Would Agricultural Holdings LP director Joseph Stadlen called the company a “SCAM artist” in statements on the Better Business Bureau website as well as on the Birdeye Customer Feedback website.
