Have you been to Epicurean Hotel on Howard Avenue in South Tampa?

It’s definitely one of my favorite places to hang out. The rooftop bar is amazing. The food at Elevage is amazing, and of course the hotel has a really cool vibe. Well, the Hôtel Epicurien is expanding. They are preparing to do a $21 million expansion project. It will be in front of the current hotel. They’re adding 51 new rooms and suites, more meeting space, and a rooftop terrace.

The new addition will be four stories high and will include two floors for parking availability. Everything should be ready by summer 2023.

Joe Collier is President and Founder of Mainsail Lodging & Development. He said, “Together, Bern’s Steak House, Haven and Epicurean Hotel have transformed South Howard into a true culinary destination, and this new addition will elevate our cityscape to its height. As the market leader in Tampa, demand for our rooms has consistently exceeded our supply, especially for suites. This expansion will add another 11 highly requested suites to our inventory. He refers to the project as Epicurean’s “second course.”

It doesn’t matter which side of the street guests are staying on. They’ll have access to amenities in both buildings like the Epicurean Theatre, Elevage SoHo Kitchen and Bar, EDGE Rooftop Cocktail Lounge and, of course, Bern’s Fine Wines & Spirits wine shop and the amazing Evangeline Spa. .

The new rooms located across from the original hotel will include 31 standard king rooms, 8 deluxe king rooms, 3 two-bedroom suites and 1 junior suite. You can also stay in a “historic apartment” (a total of 8) which will be transformed into luxury suites.

If you have guests coming to town, I can’t think of a better hotel to recommend to really experience the South Tampa lifestyle and the best food and restaurants Tampa has to offer.
