Between 2017 and 2020, the Pennsylvania legislature spent $ 203 million in taxpayer dollars on food, accommodation, and other benefits for lawmakers and their staff.

It is difficult to know exactly what this money was spent on, as the public faces a series of obstacles and even pushbacks from the lawyers hired by the General Assembly. Spotlight PA and The Caucus have spent over a year investigating how lawmakers spend taxpayer dollars and then hide those expenses from the public.

On Wednesday July 28 at 5 p.m., join Angela Couloumbis from Spotlight PA; Sam Janesch, Brad Bumsted and Mike Wereschagin from the Caucus; and Khalif Ali, executive director of Common Cause Pennsylvania, for a free question-and-answer session on state legislator spending.
